For me, Dave has better technical level, Janick is more like a showman and Adrian is the historical Maiden sound

In my opinion, Dave Murray is the one that actually gives the technical power in Iron Maiden's songs, as he plays legato-based shred that may not always sound perfectly melodical, but they are cool nevertheless. He is my favourite guitar player in Iron Maiden, probably because he seems to be a very decent person...
Adrian Smith is very bluesy and melodical, probably because he also had a career in singing, which gives him a different approach to writing melodies. When I think of the person who has infleunced Iron Maiden's rhythm the most at the moment, it's Janick Gers. If you watch live videos of him on stage playing on the lower frets, he sometimes strokes and tickles his guitar... He's very experimental in his guitar playing I dare say. However I am not an expert in this area, although Iron Maiden is my favourite band. Please correct me if I say things that don't make sense. Hope it helped, Alexander -------------------- My YouTube Channel

Is Janick Ger's guitar connected during the shows?? just kidding.
In the old days Murray and Smith shared the rhythms and solos in albums and live concerts. Nowadays I think that it's the same between Murray, Smith and Gers but I'm not sure. -------------------- My lessons

I don't really like Janick's solos. Apart the one in "The Clansman" they all sound very random and inconsistent... It's just my opinion, but there are some Iron Maiden songs that could use some better solos
They're still my favourite band though ! -------------------- My YouTube Channel
