Improvising Over "airplanes" Refreshing Solo

Hey Guys , I'f you've never heard the song "Airplanes" by B.O.B and "Hayley Williams (one of my fav female singers) wanted to do an Improv over the rhythm part of the song which has such a good peaceful vibe to it not to mention I might have a crush on Hayley Williams lol but anyway here it is hope u like its short but I think worth listening

Hey mate smile.gif I think it's a great thing to solo over songs that inspire you!

What I can notice in the first listen is that you should listen to the harmonies closer and also follow the drum groove. Improvising needs to follow the context in which you are playing - you have a good start with imitating the vocal line.

My suggestion would be to take the vocal line and try to develop it into something different by changing a note, inserting breaks where they are not, or by implementing short licks to get you from one phrase to another smile.gif

That's a beautiful song, I love the chorus as well as Hayley's voice. I can recognize your style on this improvisation, and some Buckethead vibes off course! biggrin.gif I would have put your guitar a bit lower in the mix to make it fit better with the mix.
