GMC Is A Drug, and im hooked on it, the only difference is, that it has no negative effects, like drug has ( Watch out kids! ) But im seriously hooked on GMC! I got my account around 12:00 Yesterday. Daytime, and i was learning, and posting untill 10:00 in the evening, Thats, Thats, 10 FREAKING HOURS! I havent spent so much time on anything ever! This is a kind of message that says: "Oh My God, GMC ROCKS! "
GMC Rocks !! I use to spend almost 1 hour every day here, but I'm usually conected all day and posting between my personal classes or in my free time
All Hail Kris, The Founder Of GMC!
Wow, 105 posts in 1 day? I'd have a hard time doing that in 1 month!
Haha i love the forums !
nice posts for 1 day
Thanx Its like this: Practice Practice, Post, Post, Practice post combination.
Wish i was half as good on guitar as i was on posting ^^,
If you go on posting like this your nickname will get as famous as "The Uncreator"
There are a couple of names at this forum who have a kinda godly status,
when I joined that I felt really honoured when a ""big name" commented , and I still do
I love your genuine excitement at being here, a real breath of fresh air for the forums.
Your right, GMC is a drug, I`m a total addict, cant and wont give it up!
The last time i was addictive to a site was a couple of years ago for a sie that was called Hockeychallenge....
It was a game were you played hock ad chat with other players.....The all of a udden they took the game down and said that their were goingto make some upates....but the game never came up again...
So if you ever do this Kris i will never forgive you
GMC is addictive allright!
Hehe Thx All ^^,
You're right, but take a big breath...
Not 24 hours yet huh? I predict this an average of 125 posts a day and 45000 a year.
Muris and Andrews post record will be blown away somewhere around july. If they add their posts together it will take young Guitarist til autumn to pass them.
...But Andrew has an arsenal of secret weapons, being a moderator and all.
Yea he has the "Ban For Spam" option
I prefer kind a sweet drugs... and GMC is one of them!
120 posts in one day!? damn!!!
you must be really high on GMC!
Hey YG
post post practise practise practise and again post post but when school?
GMC is the website I view the most for sure.
Wow man your enthusiasm is fantastic. That's a pretty impressive first day post stat. The forum is a great place to hang out, as you have already noticed, and the people here are the nicest on the web GMC is indeed addictive but it's healthy and helpful and well I don't want a cure. See ya around the board man and again welcome.
rok
Yes it is very informative so you don't feel bad spending most your life on it. Johnny 5 would go insane if he saw this website INPUT.
"Ban for Spam" - wow that sounds cool! I'll have to try clicking that button haven't tried it yet
Erm school? yea, ok... Study Study, Practice Practice, Post Post, Sleep
You've out-posted me in one day, and I've been here for three months!!! Well done, sir.
He'll be catching me up in no time
It's gonna take me years to get where you are in a month.
SOme1 help me, i dont know if its the guitar, il try re-tuning if it there is no advice, but... On the power chords lesson by Kris. i dont get the right sound, but im holding as i should. Wierd.. Maybe my amp is not as it should be, by that i mean ( properly toned ) You know the things u gotta turn around..
It could be the right position, but on the wrong strings. If it's not that, I don't know what to tell you.
Right strings and all...
Nvm. i was playing to soft, need to hit that string harder ^^,
Oh, good. Well, have fun with power chords.
Nope.. still not same, wtf
Sorry to hear that.
My Enthusiasism is falling... lol
Maybe try a different lesson and see if it still sounds weird.
Try making sure the notes ring out individually. Hold your hand on the chord as you would and play the strings individually to make sure each string is sounding properly and then play the power chord as a complete chord.
Well, I have no idea of what it could be. I hope you figure it out. Good luck!!!
It might be how the guitar is set up or a problem with how you're playing it. Is there anybody you know who plays the guitar near you that you can ask for help?
You'll get there. It just takes practice. You wont sound exactly like Kris as he has his own tone
Yea, thats right... Guess its just his kinda tone. but when i do it, it sounds so f*ed Up... i even do it right, i dont know wtf is wrong, i guess il try getting a cam and record it.
When I first started it sounded like someone threw a frightened cat at a chalkboard. It'll take a while before it sounds decent. I'm still not happy with the way I play, and I've got over a year on you. It's natural to sound badly at first, I think.
I tried tapping, SAME SOUND But, on the basic tapping lesson, 1-2-3. finger on,right, finger off, right
BUT THEN, when im supposed to take my ring finger off. it makes no sound, i guess one of the strings are touching the index finger, wich i use on the 12th fret. and its no sound, but i just cant hold it any other way, to make that sound
Wow, that explenation sucked :S
Sorry about that.
Hmm, guess il just... erm... Hire a guitar teacher Or i could go to stavanger (10 min drive) and meet audiopaal and bother him! haha jk He would get angry at me, right paal?
Just take your time man, rome wasnt build in a day, you'll learn it
Well, i will never learn it when i dont know where im doing wrong...
Take your time mate, time is on your side for sure, how long have you been playing?
concentrate on chords to begin with to get your left hand working and in sync with your right picking hand strumming out a few different chord changes, make sure your getting the chords (I`d stick with some open chords to begin with) to really ring out so your not muting any of the other strings with a stray finger, it all takes time, a lot of patience and practice
Yea i will But its hard, to hard for me to comprehend. i just dont understand the main point Im just trying to copy what he is doing, i dont understand anything of what hes saying, like E minour, or the 13th fret, well i know frets..
The easiest lesson is overwhelming for me :S
You'll pick it up, bit by bit, sometimes without even knowing you're learning, and after a few months you'll be surprised how much better you are. I remember the beginning (not too long ago) and it's definitely the hardest part. It'll start to be more fun after a certain point.
I hope so, now im not having fun at all, im just constantly pushing myself,
To get you started, we have put together a 6-step course that will make you play in less than twenty minutes! These six lessons cover some of the basics that you need to learn on your way to become a great guitarist.
Erm. ive used like 3 hours on the first one...
Once you start to learn the regular lessons that are more about music and less about theory and technique I bet you'll have fun.
ok, i find the video incredibly stupid, no offence, but on an E5 Powerchord, he holds on the 2nd fret, on the 4th string, upper 4th, but he only plays on the 5th string, so it makes the same sound whatsoever...
Yeah, some people play the same notes on different strings.
Wierd, my cousin is here, he knos how to play, il ask him.. .
Hopefully he'll know.
Thanks rok
first, you start to go out much less than usual,tl,then your friends start to worry, and then your girlfriend leave you... that is GMC....
