It's a prestige Ibanez :
http://ibanez.com/ElectricGuitars/model-SV5470F

I prefer the SV5470A in black : http://www.ibanezrules.com/euro/sv5470abkd.htm
But it seems they are not producing it anymore even though it's the 2009 model.

Perhaps some of you already tried or play one of those ? smile.gif

I checked reviews on the net and they are good. I will have to go to the local store and try it anyway but wanted your advices first.

Especially about the Tremolo and the Pickups. Are they good material ?

I am looking for a guitar without Floyd Rose, with versatile sounds and a good Tremolo.

The guitar is great but I don't like the tremolo concept on this one!!!

Trem and no locking nut results in bad tuning stability, even though the tuners are self-locking. It's enough if you use the trem for slight vibrato but if you go at it with diveboombs and extreme whammying (like I did in the store when I tried the guitar; it was knocked out of tune)

I prefer the same guitar with the Ibanez Edge trem and locking nut.

The guitar itself is beautifully crafted, like all PRestiges. Great woods, great craftsmanship, quality hardware and paintjob and a sturdy case. Like almost ALWAYS the pickups are bad... They are not totally useless but they don't do the guitar justice - new pickups will improve the guitar even more!!

that black one is just GORGEOUS!

I disagree a bit with Zakk about the trem, since it`s not a fullblown tremolo, but more like a wilkinson (floating system).
I have not tried the one that`s one the Ibanez, but on my Carvin I have wilkinson without locking tuners or nut-luck, stays in tune even when (ab)using the trem heavily

The black one is actually quite nice, the trem isnt too ofensive and the design is quite classic. Yeah, I would even try one myself if it looked that, and im a pathological Ibby hater! laugh.gif

Very good guitar, I'd buy it if I had the money. I was actually looking on getting one myself, tried it at the guitar shop, thought it was awesome, but I just don't have the money to get it sad.gif

The neck is perfect, the finish is amazing, and the tone you get is also good. It plays like a charm with its thin neck smile.gif
I didn't get the chance to try out the tremolo though, so I don't know about that.

trem should work just fine, i got a wilkinson vs-100 (very similar) and you can use and abuse it. i recommend roller nuts or a super smooth graphite nut tho. locking tuners are a MUST.
