They haven't announced the theater in Australia yet
Not being a real metal fan I guess I'm probably wrong about this, but I swear this really looks like "The big TWO ...and some other groups that are still really well known but not terribly successful anymore."
Are anthrax and slayer really at the same level as the M-bands?
I think they are the big four of thrash metal, though there are some newer and imo better bands nowadays. Looks like some kind of "legend" line-up, buth absolutely worth watching.
I think this will be a very good and unique concert! Idea to broadcast gig live in movie theaters is really innovative and cool! Too bad Serbia is not on the list though....I'm sure this would be a fun to watch/listen to!
Though I'm pretty sure there will be a DVD out with the recording I guess?
MASTODON.... day two!!!!....the first day is not bad either though...xaxaxa
Awesome, this is by all means a monster show, definitely for the history books!
I doubt there will be any theatre coverage in Serbia tho..
It's hard to find other two bands as big a the M ones,
I wonder how this is going to turn out
Here in the states we are seeing something of a "Thrash Revival" scene. Newer bands like Lazarus A.D. are direct musical descendents of band like Metalica and Anthrax. It's still a fairly underground thing which is good as every time heavy music gets "popular" in gets really silly. It's great to see bands wearing Iron Maiden T-Shirts again and thrashing away.

I saw Megadeth in concert in Brussels last week. They were AMAZING. Dave Mustaine is 48 but his live guitar playing matches that of, say, Jeff Waters and the guys from Trivium. I kid you not. They played the whole R.I.P. album and blew everyone away.
Metallica is a fun band to watch when you know all the songs, but I never liked them playing live. Slayer is OK, they are one big routine live but they're getting old, the punch is missing. Never watched Anthrax though. Are they worth anything live?
who would even want to listen to mustaine's voice?
