ahh silly strats.. i dunno.. i played 1 for a while.. ppl r gunna hate me ohmy.gif but i dun see what the hype is.. i like my entry level jackson better than a stratocaster sad.gif

It's for the "twang". I'm no strat-person either, I'm a double humbucker man myself. I have a cheap Squier Strat to be able to do some blues and rock numbers justice... you can't play Clapton or Hendrix on a Les Paul, that's just wrong.

Clapton did not become a Strat man until later. He was not with Cream. If I remember right, he played an SG a lot at that time. Just as early on Page in his first Zeppelin albums was playing a Telecaster, not a Les Paul.

Make sure that you attach your strings properly. Bend the end back at an angle against the string and wind it at least twice on the wound strings, 3 or 4 times on the plain. It will stay in tune just fine if you attach your strings properly. I like ebony, both in a Strat and in an SG.
