Sep 16 2011, 07:50 AM	Instructor Posts: 22.808 Joined: 14-June 10 From: Bucharest	Guys, I was thinking to make this idea the following topic of my video chat session next Thursday, but first of all, I was curious to know if you ever tried it I see a lot of benefits coming from this approach: - you get really good at articulation - you have a pretty decent idea on note choices that work well over the given chord progression - once you nail the lines, you can start developing them and create your own nice phrases which can be a tremendous weapon in improvisation What do you think? When I improvise, especially with modes (I find it easier to get a vocal effect from pentatonics) I try and come up with little songs in my head that will help steer the guitar in the right direction.
