Hi All, I am currently doing the Beginner Solo in D lesson and I have the first part OK but once I get to the Alternate picking 16th triplets I just can't move my fingers fast enough. How do you get your fingers to move this fast. Is there an exercise? I have been using a metronome but at this rate it'll be 2010 before I can manage the necessary speed. One other thing is that I am 37 so am I trying to do this at a bit of a late stage in life? Any help would be greatly appreciated. QS. Practse it slow with a metronome and build speed a little at the time and eventually you can play it at full speed but dont ruch it and make sure yo are playing it clean -------------------- My Gear

Thanks All. Yeah I guess its practise practise practise then. I was hoping there would some quick method but no, no cheating allowed No cheating or overnight progress,it's just pure practicing. However I'd like to encourage you to share your take(mp3 or video) on this lesson with us, that way we could give you even more advices. -------------------- Youtube

DOn't worry you're not too old. That would be an excuse to not practice. You have to say to yourself "I'm young and heatlhy in I wanna play those triplets!"
Right, when you do that, start off by practicing real slowly those triplets, and work your way to the top. The moment you start to make mistakes stop. Practicing sloppy is not an option. COntinue later or tomorrow. It will come much sooner that you think. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE
