Well, I haven't toched photoshop in ages, but since it's for the my band, I decided to do a logo today, still have to change some things in it (like the part of the first text: eternal isn't clear)...After doing the Logo, I went to search for some image I liked to try to fit it in an album cover...Would like to hear your opinions about it please...If it sucks, don't be afraid to say it smile.gif

I like it but if i think about all i've been taught in art at school, here's some suggestions.

Make the foreground objects contrast with the background with colour so the whole thing isn't all brown and doesn't merge with itself. I'd suggest a cold colour.

It's a very good composition but it's a tiny bit cluttered.

Put the writing at the bottom up a little bit.

Btw i do really like this as it is smile.gif but these are just small suggestions.

Thanks, I have 3 years of photoshop, the background image wasn't done by me so I'll probably replace it by one of my own, which I'll do during the summer. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try to see how it goes smile.gif

Logo idea seems nice, but I would like to see more color and details , this currently looks too plain 3D to me...
Also I'm having trouble reading the name of the band (both words)...And the font for title of the album is not so appealing too, and every word-capital letter thing doesn't seems to be working with this font well..
Overall cool idea for a logo/cover design..

Cheers wink.gif

Thanks Bogdan, as I mentioned, I'll be working somewhat better on the project during the summer, since today I really just wanted to have something to work with...

P.S: The Name is Eternal Oblivion ;D

Great effort! Couple of suggestions:

1. Bottom letters look too "glued on" an in face to me. THey don't mach with teh background image because they are in front and don't have depth. Also logo iblends in nicely but some more color adjustment would make it even better, i don't really like that orange/yellowish theme on it, makes a little confusing. Other than that is very cool.

PS you could add some depth of field to the image by manually blurring out background.

Ok, did some things today smile.gif

I'll probably do some other logo experiments to see if I can come up with something better

Very nice Cover very professional like
But I feel like the "Eternal Oblivion" title must be a bit higher.
I am no artist but its the same for almost every album cover I have seen. The name of the Band is usually higher, normally at the top of the booklet and the name of the album at the bottom.
Anyway thats just me.
Gratz for your efforts m8

What kind of music do you make?

If you make Power or Heavy Metal then it's really good. Otherwise it might be a bit too "epic" for my taste, but at least it's really well done and I suppose that's what matters.

I really think you should drop the "drop shadow" behind the logo, it just makes it harder to read and shouldn't ever be in a logo IMO smile.gif Other than that, pretty good smile.gif
