I just bought some new pickups, bareknuckle nailbomb set and im having trouble figuring out where i need to solder the wires, its my first time doing it!

Basically my old washburn x50 pickups had three wires, one grouned to the volume, one connected to the tone (which is push/pull) and one to the switch, simple! The new ones however only have 2 wires hence the problem, i dont know how to connect it all together!

Ive searched for hours looking at diagrams but i still dont know for sure where they go, please help!!

Finally after weeks of practicing pentatonic solos ive realised whats been holding my progression up, my pinky finger.

Ive been playing for just over 6 years and 5 of them have been spent only using 3 fingers. For a few months i been trying to incorporate my pinky finger into my playing and now it seems only natural to use it all the time. Problem is, its making my lead playing suffer. For example when i fret a note with my pinky finger it often rings out a dead note and also it doesnt feel like its got quite the accuracy as the rest of my fretting hand. I really need to sort this out for my playing to progress.

Can anyone reccomend any exercises for me to try and to get round this? Thanks!

Hoping to find a solution to this problem:
When i try and and do a full string bend on the high E string past the 12th fret the note cuts out and doesnt ring. Dont think its my technique which is the problem because i can do them fine everywhere else on the neck. Ive tried playing through a range of different tones as well to see if it was due to the noise gate or compressor but that made no difference, may it be the set up of my guitar (Gibson SG)? If so what can i do about it?

Hey All,

I been looking recently at getting a new practice amp, prefrably a marshall, was hoping i could get some suggestions down for some small but powerful amps!

Been looking at the zakk wylde micro stack which i like the look of, but i dont know if 15w is powerfull enough. I like to play with a heavy overdrive sound, lots of gain and bass. I want an amp which can handle it.

At the moment im running on a 50w marshall, with a darkstar HT tube overdrive pedal and mxr 6 band eq. It seems when i put the bass up the amp starts to break up even up low volumes. I dont really know why! So if anyone can answer that as well that would be good!

Heres a photo of my gear.
