GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Joyo & Keflir Endorsement

Posted by: Gabriel Leopardi Aug 26 2015, 06:50 PM

Hey guys! I'm happy to tell that I've been contacted by the local distributor of many brands and they asked us (Cirse) to be endorsed by Joyo Pedals and Keflir Cables. We had the first meeting and this is what I've got. biggrin.gif

The pedals are new designs by the brand, and are "mini pedals". I've tried them a few during the meeting with cool results, I can say that Husky Drive and Wow Wah are my first favorites. I'll try them more during the next days and then share deeper thoughts about everything and also some samples. smile.gif

About the endorsement, the deal is not done yet, but the band has been introduced to the brand. By the way, the local distributor said that Joyo company really trusts in them.

Super congrats!! I have been working with HOTONE pedals and they have been very kind so far smile.gif It really does help when vendors are willing to send you some gear to try out!!! I just got the "tweed" version of their mini amp to add to my collection. I Love their mini pedals smile.gif Mini pedals are great as you can fit more on the pedal board!

*For anyone curious as to how this kind of thing happens. It's usually when person or band starts getting enough "eyeballs" and ears to make it worth it for a company to send them some stuff so that people will see the stuff being used and get to hear it smile.gif It take some time but anyone can eventually get the attention of quality vendors. Be patient with yourself and focus on building up your audience whether it's live, youtube, etc.

Nice stuff Todd! Yeah, it's always really cool to receive this kind of stuff. I have been playing with them at home yesterday and I've impressed by the quality of these new ones.

One thing that is really cool is how much my tone improves by adding the Husky Drive (which is an overdrive) before my soundcard when using amp emulations. The overall sound became clearer and more defined, the quality improves a lot compared to using an emulated tube screamer. I think that I'll use one at my home studio to record guitars.

We've been talking about this previously, but it's the first time that a pedal makes such a difference.

BINGO! smile.gif using an overdrive before going to to the daw, gives it the vibe of using a preamp to help round out the signal and boost it in order to make the plugin just sound better. I"ve been using this technique for quite some time and it really helps. You can do it in software, but I've found that it's just not the same thing.
