GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Help Finding A Band

Posted by: julz_122 Jun 17 2007, 04:22 PM

hey i've been looking for a band to join or form a band for the past 6months now and nothing. Do you guys have any advice im thinking of maybe going down to emi records and talking to someone there but i dont really know like who to ask for and stuff. I live in london and despite it having 9million people i cant seem to find someone aged 16-20 that plays guitar and sings, someone who plays bass, and a drummer. This is really starting to piss me off and am thinking of giving up. So do you guys have any advice?

Have you Tried the Website "Bandmix"
They usally have alot of musicians Like you who are looking for some other People to Form a band with.

Here is the Link for the UK Version of the Site.

http://bandmix.co.uk/

Now If you already know about that site and still haven't found anyone, then I guess Inquire at your local Guitar Shop Maybe.....

I don't know if it does?

Have you tried Signing Up yet?

on the US site I think I've seen People Younger than 18 with ads.

But maybe it's different???

I recommend try to find one guy who is out of school in order to really start a descent band. i was having the hardest time, but once i found my singer people just started falling into place smile.gif now we've got a drummer, bass, 3 gits, keys and vocals and its really worken good smile.gif

( why three guitars is unknown but it really sounds intence hahah )
