Hey peeps!!

This is a video made at my first performance ever with a band wink.gif More videos are being uploaded wink.gif The bass player is a man who organizes band classes every ten weeks, where he forms the bands, and then he helps with the weekly practice session. Me and the drummer, together with another band, joined last months class, and we had about 8 weeks, with the 8th being the final practice (on the stage) and the 9th one performance. this means we have only practiced 8 times biggrin.gif

Hope ya like it wink.gif Oh, sorry for the solo, nerves tongue.gif I could easily play that here in ma room tongue.gif

Hey Kaz, You shall be proud of Yourself and the band! And it was nothing wrong with the solo, You missed a note at some spot, but we all do in live situations. Awesome first gig in my opinion, mine was terrible.....
But I agree to what Marc says, I was wondering what the background-singer was doin until I took a closer look laugh.gif
Don't they ship those in pairs ??? biggrin.gif

//Staffay

TIP: A common technique "live" with background-singers is to have them loud in their own monitors and then take them away from the main mix. biggrin.gif

I think the lack/quality of monitoring for her was indeed part of the problem. Maybe not the biggest part wink.gif

Hmmm, You may be right here, but in a strange way I've always found background-singers distracting for the rest the musicians in the band... laugh.gif And then when someone finally gets together with them, it ruins the rehearsal since there's always missing an instrument except for the backing-vocals..... biggrin.gif

Cool:)

2 things, turn it up, May be a lot louder.

Try open chords instead of powerchords (sounds better IMO)

Bass player is a good singer, hes scary tho.

I think you did great for a "first" gig.

Always pretty nerve wrecking.
Main thing, keep playing AND TURN IT UP!!!!!!!!

Cool solo, of course could be smoother, but nothing to worry about (FIRST GIG:X I was pretty afraid then) maybe the guitar a little higher?? Looking forward to see more..

I might put this up for band practise myself.

My only hope is that someday, someone says about me, "Man, your guitar player sucks, but he's good looking, so you should keep him."

laugh.gif

Good job Kaznie. That's about 1,000 times better than my first live performance.
