Hi guys, how are you?

Today i want to share a great experience for me last week in a great festival located in Cartagena, Colombia.

I was on facebook when i see a post like " drinking the best coffee ever and relaxing"

i was really surprised because that artist is a big influence for me!

so, i bought the tickets to go to the festival and found the hotel where he located.

I asked him about to make an interview and also play one song together. He said....cool why not?

finally i achieved to record a song with Antoine Dufour..... (Nice person, very polite and relax)

Fantastic playing you both were so in sync for such complicated techniques.

How do you set your guitar up to play like that? I take it low action and fairly light string gauge?

yeah was really complicated and i felt lot of pressure ! but fortunately i practiced a lot that tune!

is important that your guitar have low action to play a comfortable picking ... also i like 0.12 strings or 0.13 strings!

just try to check your preferences.... thanks for listen! see you my friend!

It's hard to say one single name because I have 3 guys which they will always be my big influences: Andy Timmons, Darek (Darius Wave) and Marcus Deml. I totally resonate with their music. BUT... if I must choose one of them, the best influence for me, which is very visible in my playing, is definitely Darek.

You know, with a lot of time before to know Darek I was completely fascinated about his playing and composition style (his music truly has soul). Every day I said to my friends that I wish to have an instructor like him. After 1 year we started talking and become friends on FB. After another year he told me about GMC, he brings me here and became my instructor. So, my wish came true (I still can't believe this wink.gif ) smile.gif
Now, already has passed two years since we work together and he is not only my instructor and a huge influence. It's also a mentor for me who learned me not to be stubborn (we had some "fights" at the beginning of our mentoring biggrin.gif ), how to react in different situations, he guides each step of mine on this musical road and also he is a very good friend. But.... I really wish someday to have the opportunity to meet him in person and play together a song. This would be that kind of "one in a life" experience wink.gif I don't know if this will happen someday but until then I will try to become a good guitarist and make him proud of his student smile.gif

No words man! Huge congratulations and awesome video + great job on your instrument smile.gif I was borrowing some playing concepts from Antoine. He was probably the secong player next to Andy MCKee from the fingerstyle family that I was happy to find smile.gif

Cool thanks Darius ! i´m glad to receive your opinion.

In my case Antoine was the first, and change my perspective on the guitar.
