Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Instrumental Rock With Melody II by Piotr Kaczor

This wasn't meant for the REC program, since the original uses wah and whammy so it's not a very accurate cover. But since I started posting takes why not post this one too :)

Sure! It's always great to stay active in the REC zone. You do not have to consider Your take to be wrong if You're not a whammy-wah type of player smile.gif Most of important accept has been kept smile.gif Let me simply point out some thoughts

1. Very good left hand position
2. Good muting job - nice and clean - no noise
3. A bit of pitch control at bending required - 0:53-0:58 for example
4. slightly too sharp highe edge of the tone - worth trying to experiments with the tone. There is a bit of nasty 4-6kHz out there. Maybe worth trying different amp sim.

After listening again and again I'm sure. You're very promissing player. You should necessary workout Your tone. This one has some lack of fluency (it's nothing wrong with Your hands, it's thye type of distortion) and it takes away some of the magic, that is already there (in Your playing smile.gif

Anyway again and I'm just complaining on a tiny details because...That's why we're for smile.gif From the technical sight it's very enjoyable smile.gif Congrats! smile.gif

Man this is great ! You've got a nice, aggressive style of playing which makes use of muting and staccato phrasing.

Your bending & vibrato is very tasteful. Those pinch harmonics are fantastic too.

I agree with Darius about your tone. It's very digital and very harsh. Your playing deserves a more natural, warm tone.

From around 0:28 to 0:34 you're rushing ahead slightly so try to relax so you're 'on the beat'. That's my only criticism here. Great job !
