Hey Pavel I want to say that your song Free to Go really helped me with the scales. You recently responded to my last message which had to do with scales and getting out of just running up and down then. That main riff you do really helped me to see that.
On to my topic. I made the mistake of not learning with a metronome. I have been playing for 2 years and now I see now that this was a mistake. I thought that you hit only one note per click so I didnt even bother using it. Well now I understand how to use it but it seems really hard to count and play. It is almost impossible for me to do say triplets and a slow bpm and be able to improvise or play what I want. I can do the major scale in a 3 note per string config. and keep in time. But improvising or something like that is almost impossible. Do you think more practice would help this? I am only doing it at 80 bpm when I am trying to improvise. Any help would be nice thanks
Hey buddy!
Metronome is a tricky piece of gear and requires some practice but you're nailing it down with time. Don't go for speed - it's not important. Once you can follow the metronome the speed will come itself. Just practice it at the speed you CAN follow it and don't worry about mistakes.
Go for it!
