Must be a lefty thing, as Dick Dale does the same. And I recall having read that Jimi Hendrix also strung his guitar upside down.

I didn't know about this guy. I can see that he is strumming upside down too...I don't really see any sense or advantages in playing like this...I guess he was lefty and learned on a right handed guitar (without swapping the strings) and then stick to it...

Watching him for a whole show was indeed pretty strange..... I heard that his technique helped do bigger bend on the high e-strings.... Don't remember where i red this tho...

. In some ways it must have been hard for him to figure out how to play upside down. Especially upside down at the level he plays at. It's not as though there would be many to imitate who play like him. Great video by the way. |

I've seen Rogers on several occasions on Eric Clapton concerts. Most prominent one would be the Crossroads festival, you can spot him playing there as well.
