my name is brian.

about a year ago, my friends and I were sitting around playing guitar hero, when one of us had the brilliant idea to start a band! =O

i called guitar right away, and my other friends seemed content with bass and drums (none of us had ever played any instruments before).

our bassist friend stopped playing after about 2 weeks. we recruited another friend to do vocals (he'd been singing for about 10 years), and he offered to pick up bass duties for him.

so we had this rock band full of noobs (except for our good singer), but now we had to split up because we're all going different directions for college.

i joined gmc so i could become a better guitarist for any bands i might end up in in the future. i've never actually really taken the time to learn guitar or music (i'd been tied up with writing band stuff), so hopefully this time i have without a group will allow me to develop as a musician. i'd also like to learn how to sing better, so i could become a singer/songwriter type guy.

my favorite bands are incubus, emery, underoath, and green day. maybe i'll request an "in the style of mike einziger" lesson. he's my guitar hero.

hello gmc!
