Welcome! And no. You are not allowed to even ask the question on this forum. I would point you to the TOS or rules but I cannot find them at the moment.

I'm sure you didn't realize that Guitar Pro wasn't free software otherwise you wouldn't have asked that question right?

Let us know if you have any questions and enjoy the site!

Well I thought I would post as I lived in Derby, Western Australia for 3 years. Welcome to GMC.

As to your question, Guitar Pro is not free software, GMC does not support illegal activities such as downloading programs and albums etc.

Hope you enjoy your time here at GMC, feel free to ask any questions on the forum, you will surely get an answer. smile.gif

Ooops, sorry about that - didn't realise. I think I must have read something about a certain program being available for free on the net. Ah well I'll have to cough up the $59 or whatever it is to buy...

Its well worth it, cool program. If you want a free program that does something similar check out PowerTab - not as good and it doesn't read guitar pro tabs, but then it is free smile.gif

I do think that you can find a free 15 day trial of guitar pro online by using the search engine smile.gif Not 100% positive but i think i tryed it and i did not like it.I prefer power tab software, for me the music doesnt sound as cheesy as guitar pro.

Forgot to say hello and welcome biggrin.gif
hope you like it here and if you need any help just ask

Yeah you can get a 15 day trial. I personally like the sound of the guitar more on GP but it's alot more complicated than Powertab.
