I wouldn't call that better just because they are high output. You made a reservation for tone there, clever.  Btw I think Yngwies tone is brilliant, with pickups that have almost no output what so ever.

Ok, lets compromise - high output can be desirable under certain circumstances for certain types of tone with certain amplifiers
