I would try natural minor next, should be easy for you since you already know Ionian, and it uses the same "cages", if I'm not mistaken smile.gif

And as Muris says, it's very important in metal cool.gif

Im just curious what source you use to look up and learn scales thats pretty easy to use.Ive looked at some scale books but they seem kind of confusing and hard to understand.Im wondering if theres any sites that simply just show you the box pattens of scales you wanna learn or something like that?

I'm not sure what Metalhead is using, but I found this site recently.

Thought it was pretty sick....

hope it's what you're looking for....

Im using
http://www.all-guitar-chords.com/guitar_sc...an&get2=Get

just to be sure, the natural minor scale is called Aeolian right?
because there is another one inn the list there, thats called melodic Minor(descending)
and its exactly the same.....
so what are the melodic Minor ascending and descending scales?

one more thing that I noticed is that the Aeolioan scale when played inn E.
its exactly the as The Major scale played Inn G..... so I already know it heheheh..... biggrin.gif
