as always post two takes, one with and one without the backing. if you could state your name and with/without backing tags in the filename of uploads that woudl be great

Well, I have had a revelation from this thread. I listened to what a couple of people had done, and then I downloaded the backing, and started playing my pentatonic boxes around, like I learned in Ivan's lessons, and it actually sounds like I am playing real music. I could entertain myself for hours just playing around with this one track.
It's even easier for me to visualize the adjacent boxes when I'm actually playing around a root center, instead of just trying to memorize box patterns.
I know it must sound silly to you experienced players, but I am really excited now about what I have learned. I'm going to keep practicing and maybe I will submit an entry here.
Thank you Ivan. Kris inspired me to join here, but you are the one who is teaching me to really play.
It is a great pleasure to hear that man. Feel free to post your playing, whatever it may be. You'll see that I can give you some interesting advices
After improvising a couple of time over the backing track, I've decided to give it a one shot , it sounds cool so I kept it. I've used a bottle neck (I'm not really used to play with a bottle neck (that I've putted on my pinky)), I thinks it brings a really cool groove.
When I finished it, I thought, hey let's use the microphone that I've one on the GMC competition so I also improvised some lyrics lol .... I had a lot of fun while doing this collab so here it is
Have fun

Edit : I thought that it might be cooler to boost the voice a little bit, so that's another version (it's the same, it's just that I boosted the voice volume a little bit)

Thanks guys!
Well, here it is... my public debut. I'd hoped for something a little more polished, but I wanted to participate in this, and it's just not going to get any better before the collaboration ends. For what it's worth, I had a blast doing it. I wanted to put in some bends, but I just couldn't pull it off yet. It's very laid back, like me!
I am a truck driver, so that explains my name, the name of this track, and the reason I took up the guitar!
Thanks Ivan.

Yeeeey record broken, it is my pleasure to inform you that this is our biggest monster collaboration yet:
22 participants so far and counting
A few more and we will have a mega collab!
Unfortunately I just haven't the time I don't think. When is the collab closed? End of tomorrow?
Tomorrow until midnight like in the movies
Here goes my take, with the worst possible combination ever: Old Strings and Noob Fingers!
It's the feel what counts in the blues. Glad you joined Fran
Hey Ivan. Just did my take. Couldn't really get the sound I was looking for though, but here goes:
Thanks for joining in man. I'm closing the collab in two hours, and will get the comments done in 5 days. (lot of work!)
