EZ drummer is great!!! Check it out at toontrack.
If you have a sequencer program that is since it's a plugin, it won't run as standalone.

I have tried a few freeware drummachines but they were not good at all to put it mildly.
I can't recall where I found them or what they were called but you could look at www.download.com or just download and try these out

btw if you have the time, can you explain a bit how EZ drummer works? I just tried a couple of free drum programs, man it sucked alot more than I thought.

does it kinda look like, you know powertab/guitar pro or maybe like video editing programs?
not that the looks matters, but the ones I tried was like going in circles with fancy colorfull stuff everywhere, it was horrible to use, and you could just make like 10sec long beats.
and is it easy to use?

I used Hammerhead for awhile and it was cool(now I just use the rythmn machine in my guitar processor.

Hammerhead has some great sounds and you can creat waves of your rythmns, and its free.

honestly... the free stuff is never any good! i've tried so many different ones it's not even funny! i went to guitar center to see what they had and this guy recommended battery 3 ($300) sad.gif BUT there is a plus side to this whole thing... they have a deal where you get the m-audio trigger finger (16 velocity sensitive pads, 4 faders, and 8 knobs all capable of midi control) with the battery software for the same price as if you bought the software alone $300!!! the trigger finger alone is $200!!! i completely recommend it!
