Mate, this DID NOT feel stale at all! I heard a lot of subtle effects and interpreting in there so, I say it's on a good path!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm still experimenting with my tone and the Whammy. I recently realized the different sounds that I can get from my Whammy other than just a dive bomb which I really don't like anyhow. But definitely the "attack" (if you will) on the whammy pedal makes the difference as to how the note sounds on all aspects (position of the whammy before the note is played, during and as it fades out).

Still something I'm working on.

The highs probably were a bit much, I put a Line 6 Uber Distortion in there that I got in a trade and I'm still unsure of that pedal. Thinking of getting rid of that one. I usually just drive my tone with my old Ibanez Sound Tank that I modded to sound like a TS-909. I will go back to that pedal, I always do smile.gif .

I honestly can't decide what my playing style even is or should be. I've found that I'm ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) smile.gif when playing my guitar and in terms of art, I would lean more towards an abstract style.

Playing a set of jams to a looper and some drum beats would be perfectly fine for me as a "side show" if you will. I can't find one thing that keeps my interest for a long time. I'd play a metal song, then something with blue grass licks leading into something funky and ending with a bluesy rock/country sound... I don't care, I like it all. I guess I would describe my style if I had one as eclectic at best. I'm down for learning anything, that's why I like looking around here at GMC and just taking pieces back to my little evil lair and seeing what I can Frankenstein out of it. I play for my own ear anyhow, so not like I have to impress anyone, though I do like feedback to see if I'm even on the right track.

I just need to get off the "BLOODY DAMN root note!" biggrin.gif quote by the Donut Master!

Thanks Cosmin, that actually means alot. I really just sit down and start playing literally junk until I can mold it into something that I "think" may be a cool sound. So yea, I do appreciate the feedback. It's a rough little jam that I put together, but it's kinda a development sorta jam for me. It's a bit outside of the box for me, but I'm just trying to figure out if it works for me or not. I just don't feel like I can do one thing. I love metal, rock, blues, funk.....etc.... It's all good.

Cool riffs mate! It sounds very groovy, I like the funk metal vibes of this one! What's the reason of the name? biggrin.gif

The name... HAha. Honestly, I thought it sounded a bit sloppy like a drunk guy playing a guitar. I figured if I can't be sharp like I should be in Ben's "Bushido" course, then I'll go with the Drunken Master style. Kinda like the old movie with Jackie Chan, it's not pretty martial arts, but he gets the job done. LOL..

Thanks Gab...

Thanks Dieterle, I appreciate it. I usually listen to everyone's collabs and it sounds like you are coming along quite nicely. I can tell that you put a lot of focus into your playing, well done sir. I play guitar as it keeps my sane, so it's a good therapy for me... smile.gif

Cool man, It sounds like you have a good "drunken" groove going on. The whammy effect is a interesting sounding approach that you should keep developing into your riffing. cool.gif

Thanks DeGroot, I just figured the whammy thing out by accident. Definitely like it too and going to try to get better with it. Take care!

I so liked those old Jackie Chan movies!! Back in 94-95, Romanian post revolution televisions were developing themselves and one of them was eager on transmitting old martial arts movies. MAN, what a treat! Imagine life in the following manner: get up, watch some telly and eat, go out and play with your friends, come home and eat and watch martial arts movies, go out and play again, come inside and eat and watch some more tv and than hit the bed, tired as whatnot... Wasn't that just GREAT? biggrin.gif

I vaguely remember days like that as a kid. Now days I just feel like Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris all kicked my a$$ and sent me to bed.
