True but yes and no wink.gif . Great guitar players, great bands, cool tone, good songs.
Sometimes I go by the adage there's two kinds of music - good and bad. I think Duke Ellington said that.

The Black Keys are awesome! I love their raw and 'unprocessed' sound.

I'm still really into TesseracT's new album, 'Altered State'. Their complex rhythms and melodies make me feel like I'm doing maths or something laugh.gif

I'm revisiting the band Thrice. I tried them out a few years ago but started on their Alchemy Index albums which are a departure from their normal style and I couldn't get into them

I heard Steve Vai saying something like "who can say that my noise is better than yours?" and this makes me feel, who can say if something is good or bad when we are talking about art...

When I was a little kid my dad listened to Miles Davis and my mom listened to the Beatles.
Piano, bass, drums, guitar, melody (trpt or vox). The majority of the sound being made was by the same instruments. I didn't even know to make a 'style' distinction until maybe I was 8 or 9 years old.

Some good shares so far smile.gif But all of them are bands that I've heard before so far sad.gif I figured I'd toss in something more obscure smile.gif Here is a band that does sorta jazz/metal/fusion type of stuff and features a couple of the touring musicians fron CYNIC> It's not everyone's cup of tea to be sure so if you hate it, click stop smile.gif
