Applied Music Theory When learning how to play guitar, we know that it is essential to learn at least enough music theory to get around our instrument and achieve our musical goals. But we often tend to learn theory on paper, and then learn to play on the guitar, keeping a separation between theory and performance. In this series of articles, we look at how to build your practice routine around mixing theory and performance in a way that they both compliment each other rather than remain separate in the practice room.
