Here is an ancient vid about Steve's "Bob Bradshaw" rig. Back when huge racks of gear were the thing and before midi switching. Way before modelling. These things could be 100k builds. ouch.
It was Lukather not wanting to carry his MARSHALL PLEXI, FENDER TWIN and MESA amps that lead to Mike Soldano (Soldano Amps) creating one of the first tube 3 channel switching preamps, the X88r. The lead channel on which is what my myasnikov superlead is "borrowed" from smile.gif

This guy has a Kemper/Fracta/X88r shootout vid which is pretty spiff. He's got every preamp that I've ever wanted to try in one rack.
