hurrah for muris!
Posted by: Smells Dec 27 2007, 07:28 PM
agreed, I`ve listened to several of the tracks ,an excellent album, apologies to Muris as i have not bought it yet, but it is on my "to buy" list for sure
Posted by: JVM Dec 27 2007, 07:39 PM
I bought it on itunes and I kind of regret it, as it won't allow me to place it on my mp3 player (which isn't an ipod) and I don't use itunes anymore, yet it will only allow me to listen to it through itunes. So I'd suggest not to do that, anyone know of a way to change that? It's a great album and I'd like to take it with me instead of having to fire up itunes anytime I wanna listen to it
Posted by: Bondy Dec 27 2007, 07:43 PM
Burn it to cd then Put it back on your computer in media player thats what i did
Posted by: at lights end Dec 27 2007, 07:57 PM
as i have recently discovered, you can convert tracks in itunes and then it should work on your mp3.

Muris' album arrived today- im currently recovering from my 4.5 hours of exams i had earlier and i cant think of a CD id rather be listening to right now- Truly awesome album
You should all have atleast checked it out on his myspace, if not go listen and consider grabbing it- well worth the money.
This album is just as diverse as his lessons, which was the least i expected from him
Thanks Muris
<waits impatiently for next album......>

Thanks a lot for your kind words,I'm really glad you like it!!
Yeah,it's pretty diverse, maybe too much from some point
but that's just how I feel music, love many things to play so I can't help myself
Too diverse?!?
Never..
From the ballsy speed of "Mojo Oro" to the ballad feel of "Where We all Belong" (im a track 4 atm
), you've really captured the best parts of all these styles.
Posted by: KRmachine Jan 9 2008, 10:38 PM
Wow, this album sounds really impressive. If you had released this in 1985 you'd be a legend by now Muris . That said, keep this up and that may very well happen

Muris, I'm not expert in the music field like you are..but have you ever considered moving to another country with a more furtile music scene?
For instance, if you joined a death metal band (and I know this isn't your genre probably) in Norway or Sweden or something I'd bet you'd be on your way to national tours and such.
There are all types of bands from these countries that have 1/684th the talent you got man and they're touring the US and the world. Some may say they have luck, but I think location plays a massive factor in the equation.
You can do a John Mayer haha play some music for the masses get some fame and branch out to play what you really desire.
Posted by: xucphra Jan 12 2008, 07:56 PM
I'm sure he's thought of that before. Part of the matter is probably where he feels most comfortable; not necessarily where he will get most famous.
Being famous doesn't necessarily mean being happy.
That's what I think at least

Well surely I have,thanks.
Only problem is that I can't move that easily and I don't want to bother you with that issue atm.

Yes! I LOVE your tone on this - the dynamics of the pick attack, and of course the melody. I alos have a soft spot for "The Water" - Muris, the album is Genious - so varied and all so musical

So I ordered your CD, and this is the reply I got from CD Baby. I don't know if they always do this, but I thought it was funny:
Your CD has been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.
A team of 50 employees inspected your CD and polished it to make sure it was in the best possible condition before mailing.
Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over the crowd as he put your CD into the finest gold-lined box that money can buy.
We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of Portland waved "Bon Voyage!" to your package, on its way to you, in our private CD Baby jet on this day, Thursday, January 10th.
I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did.
Your picture is on our wall as "Customer of the Year." We're all exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Sigh...

Had such a city day at work yesterday, so it was great to come home to find the package of your CD on my kitchen table! You did a really great job on it. I love Put a smile on your face and a story from eastern europe. Not that I didn't know this before I got your CD, but you are an extremely talented guitarist! look forward to your next CD!
