It is because of the down votes blue check marks are complaining about ,, especially the white house

Thanks for the update! I had heard about "anti" campaigns being paid for and click farms being used to down vote certain videos to drive them down in the algo.

It's certainly an interresting development. As the person in the video says, YouTube has been one of the only platforms to keep downvotes around. Not many other platforms use downvotes

I actually like seeing (publicly) the down votes. Yeah, I get that an army of down votes due to personal issues or feuds is a problem but you'd think with all the tech at their disposal they could tell the difference and limit just those - like when something gets 700 down votes within 3 hours. I've never been much for the "everyone gets a trophy for participation" thing either so ...

I think the downvotes still work behind the scene though, as they say. We'll see how it is in practice, but supposedly videos that are heavily downvoted won't be suggested to you as much as the ones that aren't. I'm not sure what the best solution is though.

I can't seem to find the 'down votes' on the analytics page - ?
I'm sure it's there but I don't know where to look.

It's under analytics, in the individual upload, for me, then the "engagement" tab, then you have to set the date to "since upload/all time" and it should show up under "likes vs dislikes". Mind you, my YouTube is in Danish, and I'm not sure of the exact names for these things. I couldn't find a way to change the language right away.

Great to hear it helped. It was a bit tricky to find for sure - I had to click around even when I was looking for it the second time

I must say I'm not so sure if I like dislikes not being shown, the more I think about it. I looked at a video I strongly disagreed with, and without being sure it felt like one of those videos that might have 50k likes but 250k dislikes, but it only showed the likes, so I couldn't tell where it "landed" on the scale.

Yeah, I've decided that I definitely DO NOT like (pun intended) having to dig around to find my dislikes.
