Hey guys!

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with any String VST's.

I'm looking for a decent sounding mid-level VST with various stringed instruments to dabble with in REAPER when songwriting.

I really like Cinema Strings 2.0 but I wouldn't use it extensively to justify the $400USD price tag, I'm looking for something more around $100-150USD.

Any pointers?

Thanks!

I think the best buy for that price range would be IK Multimedia Miroslav Philharmonik Orchestra.
I really like orchestral sounds I'm getting with this VST.

Here is a cool demo:

This VST doesn't have any pre made sample tracks etc like some string vsts do. You'd need to play/draw everything in midi from scratch.

Thanks!

I will have to look into this - I don't really mind having to draw from scratch I think it challenges your creativity a little but more biggrin.gif

I'd like to add one more vote to Bogdan's suggestion. I have it and it sounds very good for the price. You can hear it in action on this video:

Thanks Gab cool.gif

I think I'll get the complete package with the choir as well since I was looking for something along those lines to experiment with too.

Fits perfectly in my budget!

Edirol Orchestral is cool but it might be a bit more expensive
