Could someone tell me some scales to learn to help me with soloing as well as just jamming with other people??? Appreciate it!!

Grizzle - I suggest you learn the minor pentatonic scale first - this will get you going fast - and - it's pretty easy to learn.

I'd learn pentatonics, then major and minor, then modes.

I also recommend minor pentatonic first then natural minor.
Once you know minor pentatonic the natural minor is just adding 2 notes more in certain places. An dthe good news is that the same shapes work for the major scales! But take it slow and start with pentatonic, it sounds so good -------------------- Guitars:

i suggest to start with general Major scale then jump to minors and harmonics then pentatonic es & blues
