Posting progress?

Should be in here, uploads board or members only uploads?

Also, Some might think it is weird to post progress but I wish more people would do more video or mp3. So, I myself would like to encourage it. Maybe a tread for just it.

Hmm yea, I agree to a point, I think if your looking for pointers of where your going wrong etc, a vid or mp3 will help them give advice, I post mine when I`m looking for advice etc as I`ve done before, but if your happy with your progress then theres not a huge need imo, a final posting for sure, I think it would also provide instructors with encouragemnet that we are out there practicing hard and appreciate all there efforts to do these lessons for us smile.gif

EDIT: oops sorry Muris, didnt spot it was in your board

There should be a forum section dedicated to progress recordings/videos, I think it will really motivate people to post their progress, especially after a few brave sould will step up and do it smile.gif, sure it has been done before, but if it will be concentrated in one place, than psychologicly it will make more people want to share their progress.

Thanks for sharing Jason,
and your kind words are well appreciated,
glad I can be of any teaching assistance
which IS my purpose in a first place. smile.gif

Bb Beginner:
Generally good work, maybe few small issues timing wise
but I'm sure you'll nail that too as the time goes.
Would like to point at 6 strings arpeggio here,
it's sweeping so try not to play in alternate as you did,
do normal sweep with hammer-on on low E and pull-off on high E.
I know sweeping is sometimes even harder at low speed
but give it a shot, would achieve a lot from it. smile.gif

Alternate picking:
Still have minor problems with timings shifting but a lot more steady than first time!! smile.gif
I would suggest you to try it on clean sound as well,
that way you'll hear each played note clearly and have more focus on
which part to practice the most.

It's going quite well, you made me proud once more Jason,
and BIG + for showing us all your progress, thanks a lot!! smile.gif

I agree with you Leedbreak, whenever I can post something, I do it!
And the feedback I received has helped me a lot with my fingering etc.etc!
Besides it has also "forced" me to start doing my own backing tracks.
So yes, I think everyone who wants real, constructive advices
should post from time to time (video is better, so the teacher can actually see what you are doing)
without caring what some might think. Everyone here is so helpful!
As I said my goal for 2008 is to become a better beginner smile.gif ,
and if uploading my progress can help me, I'll just do it.

By the way, since a few days I have a downloading problem:
whenever I click on an uploaded audio file, my browser shuts down!
I've never had this problem before, and it's driving me crazy!
Anyone can help? TONY maybe?

Cheers Eddie
