Guitar player sure seems to like this amp... anybody try it?  I'm looking at the Vox Night Train and this one for a small amp... any thoughts on either would be great!

The Egnater looks very interesting, the possibility to blend the output tubes is really innovative. I had ever tried it, and I wonder if it really makes a huge different to the sound? Since its mostly the pre-amp tube that sets the sound/tone for a tube amp, the difference in sound will most likely come when the the tubes "crack" up.... eg. with power-tube distorsion. But it sure looks like a very serious piece of gear, and the prize seems just right. These guys at Guitar Player are really good, and if they say it's good - I believe it is... Thanks for the feedback. I fell in love with the Night Train because of its looks, and I dig the VOX sound. But this Egnater has gotten some rave reviews and seems to have more vesitility...
here is another review , http://www.egnateramps.com/download/PremierGuitar.pdf this one by premiere guitar, a glowing review... I am replacing a 25 yr old Randall amp that is fading on me. They both look cool. I tried The Night Train, nothing special IMO, small headroom and good overdrive, but nothing "wow". I would buy Fender Hot Rod Deluxe instead anytime. I haven't tried Egnater, but I somehow doubt that it is that great. Blending of powertubes may produce some cool effect when cranked, and it has FX loop (night train doesnt have one, serious setback). It may be good for home playing, who knows..

makes me nervous to try one... but I really like Fender so I'll take a better look
