I've been tracking the going rate for the AVID ELEVEN RACK since buying one a bit back and it's not uncommon to see used models on EBAY from $250 to $300. AT $250 it's the same price as some overdrive pedals I've owned. Not to mention it's a full on recording interface with mic preamp/xlr input 8 tracks at once record, software control (I hate editing with the LCD screen) etc.

Having owned WADS of processors, and sold them, I can safely say this one is a keeper. If you are thinking of adding a boutique stomp box, I'd say think seriously about getting a used 11r first. IF you are thinking about getting a POD or other unit, DON'T!!! Get the 11. For the price, I've yet to find ANYTHING even close to sounding anywhere near as good.

*P.S. I'm one of the few folks who seem to be using this unit for METAL/DJENTish/KRUNCH type tones. It's generally favored by tube guys getting in to modeling. However, I have found a way to make this thing chunk with the best of them. I"ll be starting a new thread to share my patches!
