Hey

I just ordered some 12-60 gauge strings for a 25.5 scale guitar to play in Drop B
Now I changed my mind and Im gonna play in Drop C instead

I ordered 3 sets :/

Drop C just sounds way better to me despite B being heavier

will this be too much tension?
Im not exactly a blues player, I never do anything but half tone bends on the highest string

Style: metal
Will 12-60 be good?
Right now im on 11-54 and it feels balanced

You'll probably have to adjust your truss rod, but otherwise it will work. However, I went even further and switched from 11-54 to 10-52 for my Drop C guitar. I know it seems backwards, but I'm getting a bigger sound with the lighter strings, so don't assume that heavier is better.

Hi mate, I use 11 for drop C# tuning and it feels good, so using 12 for drop C shouldn't be a problem. However every guitar reacts different so you'll have to try this. It it feel that it's more difficult to play, it's not a problem, your fingers while get used to this, and then, when you have to change again strings you can decide if you keep this guage or get back to 11 (which will feel much easier for your fingers after playing some time using 12).
