Btw, I have posted these 3 takes on REC forums too, just in case you want to mark them. Hmm.. open triads look quite different.. Open triads have different (open sound, more than octave distance between lowest and top note) and look different. Don't you think I am crazy? Thanks Pedja. Oh, I had a question... Don't we say, we move up the neck, if we are going towards 24th fret.. and then move down, if we are moving towards 1st fret? I think you said somewhere on the video that we are scaling down 1 octave like B note in G, but then we are actually using the higher octact B note (scale up?). I am very happy to see you working hard and learning all those chord vocabulary lessons. It will be of great use to you as you already saw with closed triads. Regarding your question, we can look it at both ways. Moving down can mean moving down melodically so we would end up in lower register. Moving down can also mean moving down the guitar neck which is contrary (going up). I am not sure what video you are referring to. I might have been talking about octave displacement. That happens when we are running out of frets and we transpose the same thing down an octave. I will check the tab but those lessons were published while ago and I don't have administration powers for them anymore so I can't change anything in there You welcome ! Part I - We are basically scaling up the 2nd note (one octave higher) in each chord (B for G chord, G B D so its G D . From what I understood, we are using 2nd inversion and taking the 2nd note (G) one octave higher. Hope I understood it well.
