Just keep ti slow and try to count everything as precise as you can. Counting is a skill like any other, so the more you do it, the better you will become at it.

That requires practicing, not just foo tapping but also metronom playing.
Just keep on what you were doing, you are on good way! -------------------- |

You have to figure out in which beat of the triplet fits the beat of the time signature so you can keep counting without losing your line. Then, you will just feel it and play it with no problems

Hi Guys! Many Thanks! If you play 8th triplets do you count "1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and" in your head ? Because this is really hard. My feet stomps the right beat but my head wants to count every triplet stroke To count 16th notes I learnd to count like this 1 e and e 2 e and e 3 e and e 4 e and e Or du bi du bi du bi Depends on what kind of triplets and over what kind of bar. Per example, 8th triplets over 4/4 bar would be like this: counting bar (with foot) - 1.....2.....3....4.... counting triplets(playing) - 123-123-123-123 You can also try to sign triplets on loud while tapping beats with your foot, just to be sure that you have got everything under control. -------------------- Youtube

I think the key here is to become firm about the timing. Play to a metronom, make sure you are paying attention to the timing, and at some point you will be able to tap your foot along with your playing automatically, cause you feel the timing. This needs practice, like all the other things too, so keep practicing to a metronom, once your fingers do the job your feet will follow.
