so..... Ive been having a few issues with the ibby that I bought a little while ago. Just a few small things that have been making me pick it up less and less. I dont see the point in having a guitar that I dont want to play so I took it into the guitar store today and traded it for a 1990 Gibson SG. Its got a couple of dings here and there but tbh it's probably in a little better shape than the LP I have from the same year.
It also has 2 Tom Anderson pickups in it and a coil tap switch.
I just checked the serial number, and here's the coolest part, turns out it was made on September 19th 1990 biggrin.gif so I got it on its birthday!
Basically, the universe wants me to have this guitar...... and you cant argue with the universe cool.gif

Congrats smile.gif I do like SG's, the Epi's are fine but the originals have an extra nice feel to them, played a used '96 model sometime ago and still didn't forget but the price point was way too high for me tongue.gif

I remember the neck was perfectly fine for shred but the pickups were a bit too vintage, how is it with the Tom Andersons?

the andersons are really nice. They are really loud and ballsy cool.gif Not quite as hot as the Dirty fingers that are in the 70s tribute, which is good. Ive not got used to the coil switch yet but overall think these pickups are excellent.
