So, I've been told a couple time I should be more active on the forums...instead of trolling the GMC Chatroom...

Which BTW is located here. smile.gif

Anyways, I've been bored at work today and working on some "custom" picks. Using a tip from a friend mainly I've attached a couple of pictures of my now what I term Super-Stubbys. Basically they're just Dunlop stubbys (not to be confused with the Big Stubbys) but with a rubber grip, because I've noticed I sweat a bit while playing and these small picks seem to fly out of my hand. Typically landing on the floor under some piece of furniture mad.gif

This particular rendition (Super Stubby Mk I) had 3 coats of rubber grip...turned out to be a little thick. I'm hoping the 1 coat versions work better...looking forward to testing 'em out thoroughly this weekend.

BTW, made using "Plasti-Dip" a rubber coating for "tools" that can be found in the paint section of your local hardware store if anyone's daring to try this. I used that, some painters tape, and a precision knife. My Stubbys are 1mm thick, fyi. Friend uses the 3mm and it works just as good.

Was getting the feeling the Virtual Bands are dead...that or everyone's communicating elsewhere wink.gif

Guess you could say i'm going fishing to see who all is interested in making a VBand. If even one other person...

As for me, I'm beginner guitar and influenced by some of the mainstream rock, but I'm a fan of music in general and willing to play anything. Rise Against, Breaking Benjamin, Avenged Sevenfold some of my favorite bands.

First my props to whoever the webmasters/designers are! I've been in web development and programming a decade now, and it's nice to see a site that's actually readable and easy to navigate...and not just flashy and tech-savvy.

Anyway, as this is the place for suggestions, I was wondering...given the community theme of GMC if anyone has considered using a flash chat system given the ability to use webcams and mics. Might make for interesting e-gigs or maybe help out MTP recruitment.

If this sounds like something that could be cool I would suggest maybe Userplane...as from what I gather GMC is run from a webhost...don't know if you have the ability to install anything server-side. Userplane has a free option with ads...but using some nifty <iframe> placement you can hide them all wink.gif

Does anybody have experience with these pedals? They've got the standard controls based on the effect but also a "morph" control to adjust the effect sound, in theory, between different pedals. For example, my Hot Rod - Distortion pedal can adjust between the sounds of a Boss DS-1, ProCat Rat, and Arbiter FuzzFace...or blend between them.

That being said, I've got their Chorus pedal as well. I'm trying to use it in tandem with a soft distortion, but I can't seem to find the sound I'm looking for....and with the Morphing control...there are ALOT of possibilities for sounds. Does anyone have some suggestions?

I'm new to the chorus pedal in general too...and to be honest haven't quite figured out the difference between adjusting "Speed" and adjusting "Depth"...the changes seem so subtle. Throwing in "Voice" just makes it overwhelming. Anyone know an article or have a brief overview of how these affect the chorus sound?
