An arpeggio is simply the notes of a chord played in sequence If your not playing them in sequence its not an arpeggio.
My personal favorite is an A Major 11th arpeggio I enjoy playing classical music on my electric because of all those tasty arpeggios they used to use I prefer to alternate pick arpeggios than sweep them, because you can accent the notes! see this good wiki article on arpeggios for more details on the theory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arpeggio This post has been edited by mattacuk: Sep 15 2008, 08:22 AM -------------------- mysql> SELECT * FROM master_name WHERE ((firstname = 'Paul') AND (lastname = 'Gilbert'));
"The Fundimental Difference between Paul Gilbert and Buckethead is that Paul Explores the Good side of the force, while Buckethead Explores the Dark Side of the Force" :) |

Arpeggio is a broken up chord.Basically you play chord tones in a sequence starting from root.

I heard Arpeggio was a good side dish for Chicken Alfredo, don't forgot a nice white wine too.
But seriously lol, i think the others covered it pretty much. Daniel |
