So I'm working with this Robben Ford dvd, and working on the mixolydian use in a G7-C7-D7 Blues fashion.
The dvd does have example's but no backing tracks. So I'm going to create one myself to practise the G mixolydian.
So I want to create a kind of "Vamp" (how he calls it) groove, that resolves around the G7, and that can use the mixolydian nicely.
I'm not sure about the chord progression, and I'd like some drum's too. If someone can tell me a "free" easy (doesnt have to sound brilliant) drum beat creator-thing. Much thanks.

I sent you two Jesse, the one in Bb flat is a straight 12 Bar just with a Jazzy feel to it, the second is basically a quick change 12 Bar in G, but with some substitutions in it. You'll be able to follow the straight 12 Bar pattern and then work from there!

Basic 'Quick Change' Pattern.
G/C/G/G
C/C/G/G
D/C/G/D

Then, on some of the turnarounds you'll get a ii-V-I substitution for the V chord and then there's some Tritone Subs as well!
