Hello Ivan
I have just started your Pentatonic Workshop.
The very first lesson starts with an A minor Pentatonic. In terms of "box" this is the 4th of the 5. Why starting from this point and how this is releted to the CAGED system?

Thanks in advance
Carmine

Am pentatonic scale is: A C D E G

Each note has it's own position based on the low E string. This is why the 5th fret position is the first one, and it goes from there.

E is the fourth note of the Am pentatonic scale, so it's the fourth position on open strings or 12th fret (both positions are the same, and start from E note on the low E string).

_____________

CAGED system is based on 5 chords that can be found on open strings. These 5 chords are movable across the fretboard, in order to create 5 positions on the neck. The boxes of the Am pentatonic scale fall into these 5 positions.
