> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hello Guys, Gab you were right about the latency. I had a latency of 42ms. I think i fixed the problem now. Thanks

Oh! It's dangerous to practice with all that latency! This new take is much better. You are closer now but you need to continue practicing to play tighter with the backing, and to make the connections and everything sound smoother.

You need at least 1 week of hard work with your soundcard well set so keep working!

Hey this is a LOT better, well done smile.gif

There is still much room for improvement on the timing but you've got that groove happening now so you're on the right track.

Make sure that you're shifting chords at the right time and not too early. Those opening chords, you're shifting to the next one a bit too early there. You've got the strumming sounding right so you just have to get your hands working in synchronisation a bit better.

Hey there! Yep - this is a lot better now but i still have a feeling that not everything work perfectly fine with the latency. I feel like you're playing with a kind of ping pong delay. Usually the latency that is acceptable for ears is between 5 to 12 ms. As for the groove it works better now. My tip for you would be to focus on one thing:

I guess you take off your fingers too early, while you're preparing to chaage the position. You need to practice slightly different approach to position shifts. Switch it to more "at the last possible moment" kind of approach. We can notice that you release some fingers even at the moment that previous lick is still being played. That's what causes your lack of precision. Aside from this I see nothing serious to complain smile.gif
