Megadeth Made Easy, Lesson By Ben Higgins |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Josch!
Great to find this new take from you at REC! I think that you are dong a good job with this lesson which is not as easy as it seems. It requires a good control of palm muting and fast alternate picking riffing. I'd like to mark some things in order to improve this one: - There are some timing issues in the intro riff. That fast 16th notes pattern requires some more practice since it is not completely tight and it must sound like a machine. - The intro riff palm muting needs some adjustment. Notice that the sound is not clear. I don't hear the note too much, I hear more like an effect, a noise. I recomend you to experiment with the strengh and position of your right hand palm to get a more balanced tone. - The riffs that are between the chords also have some little timing issues. Isolate and practice them to polish the part. - I think that your tone could have less distortion and a bit less highs, and more low frecuencies. I would go for a warmer and cleaner tone, closer to the original lesson. That's all that I note by now. This is not bad at all, keep on rocking. -------------------- My lessons
