I agree with you, this is a beautiful lesson! I can say that you are playing it well mate. This one is more difficult than it seems.

I'm sure that you already know the details that you need to improve here to make it sounds flawless, but I'll list them here:

- Cleanness: There are some fast passages that can sound tighter and cleaner. Maybe you can isolate these parts.

- Dynamics: This lesson and style are full of dynamics. Once you are comfortable with everything, I recommend dedicate some time to give more dynamics to those lines.

- Groove: Your timing is not bad at all, but there is some room to improve overall groove, mostly when playing licks that include legato.


Ok mate, I hope that my comments help to know where you should put focus during the next days.

By the way, this is a very good take. it's an 8!

In addition to Gab's comments, I would like to add:

Your playing is great here, but would still convey so much more musicality with a tone that sits better in the mix. Your sound oozes quality to me, yet I think it sounds slightly scooped compared to Chris' who has some really sweet and warm midrange going on.

You also def need to experiment more with subtle/parallel compression, as some of your softer passages are hard to hear. It is possible to dial in compression that does not ruin dynamics, but instead just enhances both tone and levels.

Well done you get an 8 from me!

This is really well played. Your tone sounds great hear as well. As was mentioned you might push your compression a bit so that the softer passages still pop out but that's a fairly minor thing. The main thing I noticed was that you have a great control over your fingers. Your right and left hand and both communicating very well and the result is some very musical sounding play that is fun to listen to and to watch. These lessons start as just notes on a patch with a demo video and then you have to build them up to actual music. You've done that very well. You have a very good sense for what is being played here and you are grooving with it quite well. Just focusing on what your actually playing here, I'm very impressed. You have a nice and subtle technique going that doesn't ever strike to hard or to light. The result is something very easy to listen to and fun to watch. I think you pretty much nailed it. Solid 8.

Hey there!

This is an excellent lesson with a highly priorized control over tone. My very first impression is that in your take it is over-expressed. I mean...You let your self flow with the groove but some kind of excitment makes your right hand use too much strength. In the original take we can eperience excellent balance between layered chords and reposnses of melodic phrases. IT is all kept in warm and smooth shape. In your take things sound too sharp. There is also some precision missing - sound like a hand sync issue (especially at one of the runs). Try to smoothen it up
