Hey guys

ive been playing guitar for over a year now and never really dug in to the physics of the tremollo arm
so my problem is that my whammy bar doesnt LOCK in little orifice where its supost to enter

it just hangs around and spining

My guitar is an RGR320EX-RBK Edge III Bridge i think

already went to the Ibanez website but the whammys they show on the manual have 2 incisions right in the arm

my whammy just has a scratch doesnt realy fit on anything

plus when i pull the bridge backwards ( raising the pitch) the notes die

can anyone help me? plzzzzzzzzzzz

Can you post a pic of the bar? Are you sure it is the correct bar? I think the edge III should have a pop in type are that uses little plastic bushings. Did you buy the guitar new?

If I´m not mistaken, there should be a hole on the back of the bridge. If you pull the tremolo down, it should appear and you can put a wrench (with 8 borders I think) into it. Turn it and your whammy bar should be locked.

Firstly, you need to take the arm out and replace the plastic circular thingies. I don't know the english word, but these create friction which holds the arm in position.

Second, when you pull the arm totally back, it will kill the notes unless your action is pretty high.
Honestly, none of these problems are too uncommon nor troublesome.
