GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Recording Tips And Advices

Posted by: alfredo Dec 20 2009, 01:32 AM

Hello there members and instructors.

Anyone would like to share their recording tips and advices on takes like

" When we do a solo over a track, we would sound as normal and great. But when we tend to click the recording button, all hell breaks loose. We go out of tempo, we sound boxed up, and we sound 10 times worst then how we play as normal"

it's all in your head. Don't think "oh, someone is gonna hear this" but rather listen to the actual sound coming from the speaker at that exact time, only that.

Is that the trick? I've had a serious case of recording blues. Ive got a couple of lessons ready to record for the REC, but when I hit that little red button, I'm all blink.gif .

The more you record, the more you will feel secure. Preparing helps too of course.
