I just checked this device (Q3) and I like it!
Concept is really cool - concentrating on high quality audio. I'm not sure how video component is good but from the test videos it seems decent. Definitely an interesting choice for a musician as it's very portable. -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

Well, the sound of the device will be good, I'm guessing it has built-in limiter for loud environments, but the video is a bit small, although it's enough for some quick recording. It runs on batteries, so I'm guessing it can be very handy device to have. I say - why not

I've been reading a lot about the Q3 and watched some youtube clips. It seems pretty good and considering to buy it. But then again I also checked out the Zoom H4n and it seems even better and cubase 4 is following in the package, but I want the video part, would be so great to record myself or some band or parties or whatever with good sound and filmquality Does any of you have any experience in using some of these? Is it worth to buy? Please let me know Thx / Thomas Havn't used this one in particular but in general I'm overall impressed with gear from Zoom for quality, ease of use and competitive price. I guess the Q3HD cam has the same mikes as H4n so for sound quality you should get the same. Where normal video cams fail and distort from massive sound preassure these mikes handle it. We used to use a Zoom H2 for recording band practice, now we use a Zoom R16, sound is teriffic. If people used a Q3HD instead of a cell phone recording concerts we'd have some great clips on youtube really is it worth? for beginners Maybe especially for beginners and normal users. I'm sure professionals have higher expectations from their gear. But they also pay at least ten times more. -------------------- My bands homepage

It's a great unit for the price. It's got HD video, but keep in mind that the video is from a really small imager/glass and doesn't have much for optical zoom, low light etc. It's mostly about the audio. But for concerts, live practice recording, etc. it does a killer job. It's a great stereo audio recorder with a high end HD web cam style camera thrown in. If they put any greater imaging tech on it the price would probably triple.
