Hi there Emir, Just wanted to check something with you as I'm slowly going through all the videos and getting them down at a VERY slow tempo at the moment!! The guitar I'm using is a Fender Strat, and due to the vintage 21 frets I can't reach those 22nd fret notes, is it ok to transpose these sections an octave down? The stretch for video 4 is a tough one, but I have mammoth spider hands so with practise I think it's within my reach - upto speed may take quite a while however, and same goes for the rest! Cheers, Adam I have just seen it. There is 22nd fret on a couple of places on video 4. You will then need to play one octave down. It should still sound good. It will be a tough stretch but there is no other option. I think there are no more places with 22nd fret used. I would like to see you playing this tune. Upload video once you get all the parts at least half speed. Edit: because you are playing video 4 an octave down, you have to continue the part from video 5 an octave down as well. They are connected. Good luck This post has been edited by Emir Hot: Nov 17 2008, 03:09 AM -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Cheers Emir, I shall certainly upload a video once I feel I've got it to my ability at half speed. I'm certainly finding some parts more difficult that others, so I may have to upload segments of the tune rather than as a full take but I shall see how much progress I make over the week. No rush mate when you think you are ready then upload. I am really excited I will see someone playing it -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Emir, This is a great lesson. I am really not much a neo-classical guy but I am gonna give this one a serious go!! Between this one and of couple of Muris's lessons my technique should get a serious workout. I have been wanting to work on my 3-string sweeps as well and this will be a great context to do it in. I'll post a take when I get it down. Thanks for the lesson, you ROCK!! Thank you for this post. Yes it will be really cool to see you playing it. I am happy that you found a right place of using licks like 3 string arpeggio. In this lesson you can find one in F major and a diminished one. Of course I am here for any help if you need it. cheers -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Hi Emir, I tore into it this morning. It is exactly what I needed. I am about half way through it, just getting the notes under my fingers that is. Some very cool licks in here that I have always kind of practiced but it will be cool to be able to put them in the context of a song. Thanks again for the cool lesson. You Bosnian guitarists ROCK!!! Monte I am very very happy if you found something good for yourself that you can use. Can't wait to hear when you play it -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Emir, could I be a real pain and request a take by you at 60bpm with the backing track? I've been practising with a metronome and within GuitarPro, and am having timing issues when playing with the backing track and it would really help me nail some of the starting points to some of the licks. Especially having trouble with counting in the lick in video 2! Good news is so far I've got up to Video 9 down to memory, and now making sure its all in time and everything rings out properly. Then I'll start linking the parts together, and move on to the later video's after that. Yes I can post the track here but maybe tomorrow. You can also slow the tempo in guitar pro and turn the click on. I know it is better if I record it but at least until I find some time for it. Hi Emir, If you could post the original backing at full speed that would be cool!! I can slow it down using "transcribe". Thanks. Monte I have transcribe as well but if you slow it down to 60bpm it's not very good quality. I will post now. Thanks alot Emir, I've been setting the GP5 file to half speed as well, It's mainly a issue I have with getting it to work with the backing track. I have difficulty "hearing" how it sounds within the backing track at the slower speed- if that makes sense. Hearing a take at that speed would really help, thanks a lot! It's great fun to learn and it is pushing me a lot. I'm trying to pay strict attention to getting the timing perfect as I always seem to learn things by replicating what I hear instead of understanding the note duration in written form. One of my weaknesses! Thanks again. I understant. I will record tomorrow -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Thanks Emir!! This is gonna be a cool lesson to work on. I'll post a video when I get it down. BTW, do you use hybrid picking much in your playing? Thanks again!! Monte Yes sometimes when needed. I don't think there was any hybrid picking in this lesson. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Hi
Here is the solo in 60 bpm. Sorry my guitar is a bit out of tune, I just came home and did it quickly, didn't really have time to polish anything. I have to tell you that for me is 3 times more difficult to play it slow like this It just doesn't go But I hope this can help you cheers -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
