I found this cool, new site. Looks to be a cheap way to get some cool "finishes" on our guitars.
After reading some info on their forums, they are willing to offer some free wraps, if you are willing to send them a pick guard (or) guitar body that they do not have a templete for. http://www.axewraps.com
What do you think?

I was put off by that too. Yes, it is a game controller. If you look at the other vid's on there, you can watch as they apply the wraps to real guitars.

Do they apply the wraps or can I make this myself? It´s a great side, some designs are realy, realy cool

Edit: Now I saw the Vid. Looks pretty easy but, they should have wraps for the back to otherwise it would look wierd

Cool designs. Although I think it's utterly lame to put a giant sticker on your guitar. I mean, what the? You bought it because you loved it how it was.

Unless you buy a guitar as a "blank" to put your own mark on it. Although it's WAY MORE fun to do it yourself. Make your own designs, get your own materials and have fun creating your own stamp on a guitar. If you want to personalise something I like to go all the way and do it in person wink.gif

I'm curious on how the moisture would affect the finish of the clear coat.

Turning a black stratocaster into a surf green vintage esque finish guitar looked promising but then i realized that its only for the front haha. Will look sooooo dumb.

This is interesting! But I didn't saw if there is an option for only wrapping the pickguard, that would be useful sad.gif

Pickguard-only wraps would be awesome. I would not, however, put a sticker on a quilted maple top guitar... especially not on one with a hi-gloss finish.

I agree mate. These wrappers are great for someone who has poor/damaged finish and wanna cover it up. I think pickguard wrappers would really be cool addition, don't know why they don't make them on their own.. sad.gif

hehehe this is an interesting idea , but I imagine that a very small number of people would actually put one on his guitar...Also whats with doing them only for the front ??!! That would look horrible...But pickguard wraps would be an interesting thing to buy ! smile.gif Now when I think about it, I guess I can make one myself in local printing shops! smile.gif
